Looking back at our 2010 - Day 14

Spring Recitals

Kaylea started back with piano lessons about a year ago. Her recital last spring was alot of fun...

Congratulations Kaylea!

Julianne took dance lessons last year... ballet, tap and jazz. She liked dance class, and she LOVED the recital!! We took a break this year (we thought that starting Kindergarten, Daisy Girl Scouts and Gymnastics twice a week was enough!) but she is begging to start back again.

Tapping to Ice Cream Freeze (Julianne is on the far left)

They're ready for their second performance... ballet.

Their Maypole dance was amazing... (Julianne far right)

Congratulations Julianne!

Looking back at our 2010 - Day 12

Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge

We took a day trip to this beautiful area east of Lexington. A day of stunning sites, lots of hiking, and a picnic lunch. We can't wait to go back!

Who takes the shorter easier hike? Not us! Yes, we went UP these steps... and many more.

Our toughest hiker had the shortest legs. Julianne was a trooper!

We made it!

If you're not up to hiking, there is a chair lift!

A view of the Natural Bridge from a spot that we hiked to:

Julianne paused to sketch the view... it was inspiring.

On the way down, we took another route. Can't go under it, can't go over it, can't go around it, I guess we have to go through it! Really?!

After our picnic lunch, we ventured on to other trails in the Red River Gorge area. This one has a waterfall along the way...

Looking back at our 2010 - Day 11

Summer Fun

This is where Kristin and the girls spent the majority of their time this summer...

Daddy even joined us after work a few times for "pizza and pool night". Most of our dinners were enjoyed on the patio, and cooked on the grill. It was a relaxing summer, and we stayed here in Kentucky.

Another favorite activity around our house, gymnastics...everywhere!

We did make a few local trips, exploring Kentucky. A quick trip to the capitol in Frankfort with friends:

We took a few days for "I don't have time for camp" camp at Aldersgate Camp. It was fun, relaxing and inspirational, and we plan to make more time for camp next summer. Kaylea also spent 3 days at elementary camp.

Fitchburg Furnace...

Happy Birthday Daddy!
