Holiday Happenings at the Fisher House

Here is what we have been up to...

UK Volleyball with our Brownie Troop! The girls had a blast, and really got into yelling "point CATS" every time UK scored.

Kassidy had her first big haircut. Here is the "before" picture...

And AFTER! We hardly recognized her!

A CHILLY evening downtown for the Annual Tree Lighting and Parade. Here are Kaylea (light blue coat) and Julianne (lavendar coat) with our pastor's children and a friend of Kaylea's. Their oldest danced on an outdoor stage in the park - parts from the Lexington Ballet's upcoming performance of The Nutcracker. It was a bit chilly for ballet!!

We had our first "snow", a dusting that is. In T.C. we would not call this snow, but it didn't stop Kaylea and Julianne from scouring the back yard, picking up every bit that they could carry. They even put some in the freezer overnight!

Kassidy even enjoyed it...

Well, she mostly ATE it!

Julianne's choir sang in church this morning. She is getting so big so fast!

This year instead of a gingerbread house, we decided to make a train! We wish the Willmotts could have been here for this...

Fall went by in a FLASH!

Introducing our Newest Family Member...

...Kassidy!

Kassidy was born on September 5th, and we welcomed her into our family on November 7th. She is a Miniature Schnauzer! Kassidy is an (early) Christmas gift for the girls, and they love her very much! Here are a few early pics.

Happy 10th Anniversary!!!!!!!!!!!!

September 18, 2009

Well, it wasn't a trip back to Maui... but we definitely enjoyed our 10th Anniversary, and would not change our lives for anything! The girls drew us "surprise Anniversay cards" on the sidewalk. We enjoyed a relaxing evening at a local restaurant filled with tvs showing, you guessed it, college football games. We could watch four games at once! It was almost too much for Kristin. The girls spent the evening with their favorite baby sitter, and had a blast as well.

Playdates & Painting

Our girls LOVE to paint, and of course we do this outside on our deck. Here is Julianne with her friends Landon and Madeleine. Julianne and Landon were in school together last year, and she misses her!

Our Little Dancer

Julianne has continued to enjoy gymnastics, and is also taking dance this year. Here is out little balerina!

Before she started taking dance, ballet was all that she talked about. But now that she has started, she is a big fan of tap, just like her Aunt Kari!

Julianne's First Day of School

Julianne was so excited to start her school, just a week and a half after Kaylea did. She usually has to wait until after Labor Day, but she is at a new school this year, and is loving it!

They read "The Kissing Hand" and made their own!

Kaylea's First Day of Third Grade!

I can't believe it! THIRD GRADE already!! And after a short summer of just two months and a week, she is back to school for another fun year.

Julianne will miss her very much... I miss her already!

End of Summer Fun

We had a relaxing summer, spending much of our time at the pool. Our girls could stay there all day! Before starting back to school, we hosted a sleepover with two sister friends from our neighborhood. This was Julianne's first sleepover. The girls had fun dressing up!

We spent a weekend in Michigan with friends, to celebrate a special 5th birthday. Can you guess where all of these kids are headed?

You guessed it, Tiger Stadium!

And this is how we got there...

We had a good plan. All kids to one end of the limo...

And adults to the other...

Somehow Grandpa DeGrand missed the memo...

The girls :)

The Birthday Boy!

Kaylea with her friend Jake.

Fun in the stands...
